Ly & Man's Wedding, Seafood Place 1 Restaurant, Garden Grove, California, USA

What a beautiful wedding! :) Ly & Man's wedding was so much fun. It was like a VNLC reunion! Their engagement pictures were so nice. :) Congratulations to the happy couple.

Oscars on Display, Walt Disney Family Museum, San Francisco, California, USA

Our adventure to San Francisco to the Walt Disney Family Museum was a lot of fun! Upon walking into the museum in the Presidio, we were surrounded by glass cabinets full of awards that Walt Disney Studios has received. This one was the one full of Oscars. Did you know that he received the most individual Oscars - an impressive 31!

Red Rose, California, USA

We went to a Bargain Camera Show in Pasadena and I bought a filter for my camera lenses. The one I used on this one was warming one. Filters are fun!

ViFF Fruit Display, Vietnamese International Film Festival Closing Gala, UCI, Irvine, California, USA

I was a volunteer photographer at this year's Vietnamese International Film Festival and it was so much fun! Great event showcasing films by filmmakers of Vietnamese descent. This fruit display was at the closing gala.

Arclight Hollywood, Hollywood, California, USA

I took a trip to the Arclight Hollywood Theater to see a photography exhibit on display around the theater. We went upstairs and I got this photo of the clock and ticket counters.

Urban Light Exhibit, Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Los Angeles, California, USA

It has been a while since I have blogged! Earlier this month I realized that I hadn't even used my SLR in over a month! Since this month is Month of Photography Los Angeles (mopla.org), I was inspired to take pictures once again. This is a photo of the Urban Light exhibit outside of LACMA. Finally made it into the museum during the Miracle Mile Art Walk.

Happy April everyone!

Rainy Day in Los Angeles, LA Marathon, Los Angeles, California, USA

My goodness...WHERE has March gone?! Time is moving so fast...or is this a sign of how busy I have been!? On March 20th my friends and thousands of other runners converged upon the streets of Los Angeles to run the LA Marathon. This year, they were greeted with intense rain. What troopers for making it through 26.2 miles of the rain storm! Congrats Jen, John, Myha and Steven!

View from Southwest Flight (SJC > LAX), California, USA

I love flying Southwest. Or should I say LUV? I started flying Southwest when I started college years ago and I've always been happy with their no change fees and flexibility in booking. Dozens upon dozens of roundtrip flights and a bunch of free Rapid Rewards roundtrips flights earned, I'm still a loyal customer. Haha you'd think I worked for them! Anyway, I stayed awake enough during my flight to be able to take pictures of the view below me. What a pretty sight!

San Jose International Airport, San Jose, California, USA

It has been a while since I've flown in/out of San Jose (I usually fly in/out of Oakland), but in the meantime, it went through a major remodel. I don't think I even recognize it anymore! I liked the architecture a lot. This was of the view looking up from just by my departure gate. I love seeing different airports.

Wat Buddhanusorn, Fremont, California, USA

It was a lovely Sunday in the Bay Area and I was able to visit this temple for the first time! On Sundays, they have vendors in the courtyard selling everything from Thai tea to BBQ meat to curries to Pad Thai. Everything I tried was delicious! Overall, great experience!

Sunset, The Grove, Los Angeles, California, USA

Pretty sunset from the 6th floor of the grove parking lot.

As you may have noticed, I haven't been posting that much. I need some inspiration! Hope to be back to daily soon...

Road to the Tidepools, Cabrillo National Monument, San Diego, California, USA

It's been a while! I've been bad about this daily photo thing! I think I'm not going to go for project 365 this year, but I definitely want to put up photos frequently. We'll see how that goes...

"There is always hope" Print, Los Angeles, California, USA

I bought this print at the Melrose Trading Post. It is a photo of artwork by Banksy, a British street artist that has work all over the world. This street art was originally in South Bank London, UK.

Enter/Exit Sign, Melrose Trading Post, Los Angeles, California, USA

More from the Melrose Trading Post...

Kimora, Melrose Trading Post, Los Angeles, California, USA

How cute! Kimora was tired as we were walking out of the market.  We spent a nice sunny day in LA at the Melrose Trading Post at Fairfax and Melrose. Full of vendors with all kinds of art, jewelry, clothes, vintage furniture, as well as a food court with crepes, tamales and empanadas, it was a great day to spend a Sunday outdoors.

Tidepools, Cabrillo National Monument, San Diego, California, USA

We got there just as it was low tide and the tidepools!

Beach, Cabrillo National Monument, San Diego, California, USA

Beautiful Sunday in San Diego. January days in Southern California - in the 70's...amazing. I love weekend trips!

[5/365] Clock & Clothes, Anthropologie, Santa Monica, California, USA

Tick tock tick tock. No time to waste - there's no turning back time!

[4/365] Vineyards, Napa Valley, Calistoga, California, USA

Saw this view just outside the Castello di Amorosa winery.

[3/365] Going Away, Coming Home, Oakland Airport, Oakland, California, USA

I've flown in and out of Oakland Airport SO many times, especially this year. I've seen this on display for a while now, and everytime I see it as I'm walking towards baggage claim, I think about how "Going away, coming home" is representative of my journey. Going away to LA and coming home to the Bay Area...
