Urban Light Exhibit, Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Los Angeles, California, USA

It has been a while since I have blogged! Earlier this month I realized that I hadn't even used my SLR in over a month! Since this month is Month of Photography Los Angeles (mopla.org), I was inspired to take pictures once again. This is a photo of the Urban Light exhibit outside of LACMA. Finally made it into the museum during the Miracle Mile Art Walk.

Happy April everyone!

Rainy Day in Los Angeles, LA Marathon, Los Angeles, California, USA

My goodness...WHERE has March gone?! Time is moving so fast...or is this a sign of how busy I have been!? On March 20th my friends and thousands of other runners converged upon the streets of Los Angeles to run the LA Marathon. This year, they were greeted with intense rain. What troopers for making it through 26.2 miles of the rain storm! Congrats Jen, John, Myha and Steven!

Sunset, The Grove, Los Angeles, California, USA

Pretty sunset from the 6th floor of the grove parking lot.

As you may have noticed, I haven't been posting that much. I need some inspiration! Hope to be back to daily soon...

"There is always hope" Print, Los Angeles, California, USA

I bought this print at the Melrose Trading Post. It is a photo of artwork by Banksy, a British street artist that has work all over the world. This street art was originally in South Bank London, UK.

Kimora, Melrose Trading Post, Los Angeles, California, USA

How cute! Kimora was tired as we were walking out of the market.  We spent a nice sunny day in LA at the Melrose Trading Post at Fairfax and Melrose. Full of vendors with all kinds of art, jewelry, clothes, vintage furniture, as well as a food court with crepes, tamales and empanadas, it was a great day to spend a Sunday outdoors.

An all too familiar sight of looking out the window as I leave LAX. This time, it was a rainy morning.

[289/365] Reading Books, Ready to Learn Program, 49th Street Elementary, Los Angeles, California, USA

Every now and then, I volunteer at a weekend reading program where we read along with 1st grade kids from the school. So nice to be able to actually work with the kids instead of being behind the scenes coordinating. Thank you, Buddy, for introducing me to the program. :)

[286/365] Fortune, Thai Boom Restaurant, Los Angeles, California, USA

I usually don't eat fortune cookies, and if I don't eat it, I don't feel right claiming it as my fortune. This time though, I ate a few bites of it and read my fortune. This was a few weeks ago - what pleasant surprise is in store for me?

[279/365] Salt Ramen, Santouka, Mitsuwa Market, Los Angeles, California, USA

Mmmm... ramen at one of my favorite places to get ramen in Los Angeles!

[274/265] Renegade Craft Fair, Los Angeles State Historic Park, Los Angeles, California, USA

These fairs are great! I can never leave without buying something. This time around I got some jewelry and a new passport cover. Could not resist. It was a perfect Sunday afternoon!

[272/365] Shadows on the Grass, Los Angeles State Historic Park, Los Angeles, California, USA

Ok, so LA seriously confuses me. Where else can you go where its over 80 degrees...in December?! No complaints here. I love being able to wear shorts in December! Love sunny so cal winters... :)

[244/365] OMG Usher Tour, Staples Center, Los Angeles, California, USA

I'm so glad I got last minute tickets to see Usher. He definitely knows how to put on a SHOW! I loved it because I feel like I grew up listening to him so everything was a song I recognized.

One of my FAVORITE lines from his songs, "It's 7 o'clock on the dot, I'm in my drop top, cruising the streets...". Know what song that is? Anyways, I melted when I heard him sing it. :P
