Royal/T is a cute cafe located in Culver City off Washington Boulevard. It was a scene out of a cafe in Japan!

[52/365] Chicken Nachos, National Margarita Day, Culver City, California, USA

Did you know that this past Monday was National Margarita Day? Don't believe me? Google it and you'll see that it is true. Anyway, we had a nice little feast of homemade nachos and quesadillas, and of course a margarita to go along with it (had to honor the holiday!). =P

My Photo Featured as Photo of the Day on discoverlosangeles.com, Official Guide to Los Angeles!

Exciting! Within a few weeks of each other, two of my photos were chosen as a photo of the day on discoverlosangeles.com, the Official Guide to Los Angeles sponsored by the Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau - today, November 10th and October 27th. I go to the website often, so it was cool/weird seeing my picture as the photo of the day! It's the little things like this that have made my day, especially because a large amount of my photos are of sights around LA. I enjoy looking for new places around the greater LA area to photograph and show to the world. The one for today was of the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro and the one on October 27th was of Film Strip USA in Culver City, both which I've posted on my photo diary previously.

"Film Strip - U.S.A", Culver City, California, USA

Located outside the Veterans Memorial Complex in Culver City (corner of Overland and Culver), this public art by Natalie Krol is titled "Filmstrip - U.S.A". Acknowledging Culver City as the "Heart of Screenland", this stainless steel structure was dedicated in 1981 and features three intertwined film strips. Throughout the night, the water continues to flow and the lights are lit to illuminate the reflections of the film strips into the pool of emerald green water. I've passed it so many times going to meetings for work, and guessed that by night, it would look even cooler...and I was right!
